Virginia Jaycees Foundation

The Virginia Jaycees Foundation (a.k.a. the Foundation) is a 501 (c) 3 Charitable Corporation.

The Foundation exists to provide help, in the form of grants to the Virginia Jaycees and the local chapters of the Virginia Jaycees.

The Foundation can also act as a stand-in charity for chapters.  Throughout the year chapters may find it difficult to recruit corporate sponsorships and donations on projects using only their own 501(c) 4 status because  donations and contributions to 501 (c) 4 corporations are not deductible as charitable expenses.  By applying for help from the foundation, Jaycee chapters may allow individuals to make tax deductible contributions to their projects.

Some chapters have foundations of their own which can serve pretty much the same purpose, but for those chapters that don’t have their own foundation, the Virginia Jaycees Foundation is here to help!

The Foundation generally meets 4 times per year, on the same weekends and in the same locations as the Virginia Jaycees’ quarterly state meetings.  Click the links below for more information.
